The job:
This position provides assistance to external and internal customers and supports efficient day-to-day operations of the office. CHWC is moving toward an increasingly cloud based, paperless, mobile environment, so comfort with existing and emerging tech tools is critical. This position is considered part-time but eligible for paid time off and Holidays, non-exempt, and reports to the Customer Service & Data Specialist Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or applicable experience in marketing, sales, business in lieu of required. Some college preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish required. Knowledge of Burmese or Nepalese is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Spanish
- Proficiency in office applications including Word and Excel
- Technology Skills are required as CWCH utilizes paperless, mobile options internally and externally
- Ability to attend occasional after-hours meetings and events
The Work:
Customer Service: Provide assistance to external and internal clients.
- Greet and direct visitors warmly.
- Answer phones and ascertain problem or reason for calling, distribute messages to appropriate staff.
- Respond to customers inquiries by phone, email, social media or other in a timely manner.
- Receive payments and generate receipts.
- Provide support during organization’s events and other marketing activities (i.e. planning, promotion, set-up, etc.).
- Other duties/projects assigned by supervisor
Administrative Support: Ensure efficient day-today operation of the office.
- Receive and distribute mail, coordinate all outgoing mail.
- Process incoming invoices for the accounting department.
- Perform typical administrative duties such as data entry, filing, copying, correspondence and scheduling as other duties allow.
- Ensure organization’s databases are up-to-date.
- Ensure the common areas are kept in orderly and clean fashion (some cleaning required)
- Other duties/projects assigned by supervisor
Hours: 24 hours per week. Generally, hours are Tuesday through Thursday 8am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend events may be required.
Compensation: Base Salary: $16-$18 per hour DOQ
Benefits: This position is eligible for CHWC’s paid time off and holidays.
