Participates in managing client relationships and leads an integrated team of consultants, researchers, and support staff to design/deliver quality jury research and sound advice for law firm and corporate clients. All functions of the position are in support of client preparation for litigation and require complete confidentiality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Uphold and strengthen JurySync’s vision, mission and values. Assist with managing/growing client relationships to ensure mutual, long-term value. Lead the design and implementation of research programs focus groups, trial simulations, public opinion surveys and post-trial juror interviews. Draft research proposals and other client correspondence. Review and summarize case materials including legal pleadings, depositions and legal memoranda. Draft research materials qualitative and quantitative measures, public opinion surveys and interview protocols. Conduct individual and group interviews of research participants and jurors both in person and via telephone. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, including advanced statistical analysis using SPSS. Extensive research report writing/editing with findings and recommendations; participate in oral debriefings with clients. Perform research of public databases and social science literature to collect statistical, demographic, media and other relevant information regarding litigation issues. Assist in consulting services delivery jury selection assistance, strategy sessions, trial monitoring, witness preparation.
Special skills or requirements:
Relevant professional experience in legal or strategic communication. Competitive debate, crisis communication or political campaign strategy involvement. Proficiency in all MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Commitment to maintain confidentiality of attorney work product materials and sensitive client information.
Master’s degree required; major or field of study in communications or related social science discipline such as rhetoric, persuasion, public relations, social psychology or political science. 36 months of experience required in communications or related social science discipline such as rhetoric, persuasion, public relations, social psychology or political science.
