Full-time position available with the Human Relations Department, Contract Compliance Division located at 414 E. 12th Street
Salary Range: $19.34-$33.55/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

2. Responsibilities
Enforces the City’s Construction Workforce Ordinance and contract compliance with the Affirmative Action program of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City. Establishes effective relationships with contractors, unions, government officials, civic leaders and the general public. Monitors workforce for all City construction projects, as well as those from statutory agencies, and Disadvantaged/Minority/Women Business Enterprise (DMWBE) issues. This includes, but is not limited to goal setting, contractor utilization plan approvals, requests for modification, file closeouts and monthly attendance at the Tax Increment Financing (TIF), Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority (LCRA), Planned Industrial Expansion Authority (PIEA) and Port Authority (Port KC) meetings. Prepares monthly reports in Microsoft Word and Excel to be presented monthly to the Workforce Board, TIF, LCRA, PIEA and/or Port KC and the public. Proficiently utilizes various databases, including the extrapolation and compilation into useful data. Must be a self-motivated individual in a fast paced environment. Utilizes excellent writing, communication, computer, customer service and organizational skills.

3. Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of professional experience at a legal firm, governmental agency, intergroup relations, public relations, education, social work, or related area of work involving discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodation; alternative dispute resolution; analyzing affirmative action program
