· Night shift hours are 6:45 p.m. -7:15 a.m., NO ON CALL!
· Full time requirements are 36 hours, (3-12 hour shifts) a week, with weekend requirements.
· Evening and Weekend Pay Differential.
· Six (6) week schedule posted in advance.
· 24/7 support from our full-time Board Certified physicians and APRNs, Chaplains and Social Workers.
Position Description:
The Inpatient RN Charge Nurse functions as an integral member an interdisciplinary team, and works in collaboration with other Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care (KCH&PC) staff to provide leadership and support, ensuring exceptional service and quality of care for Hospice House patients and families
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, with motivation to work with the dying and bereaved. Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Kansas and Missouri required. One (1) to Two (2) years’ relevant work experience in caring for terminal patients and others with life threatening illnesses, required. Ability to demonstrate clinical judgment and decision-making based on knowledge and skill in caring for patients with life-limiting illness, required. Prior, relevant work experience providing supervision, management and coordination of the work of others, preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, preferred. Prior working knowledge of Electronic Medical Systems (EMRs) required; prior experience with Suncoast preferred. Valid CPR certification required.
