Expected Hours of Work: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday

Reports to:  Payments Processing Manager

Location:  Hybrid/Lee’s Summit

*Current hours are 9 am to 6 pm M-F but will be extending due to Bank business needs

Summary/Objective

The Payments Processor will be responsible for processing bank and client ACH and wire transactions, reviewing electronic deposits, clearing item processing exceptions, and reviewing tools and reports for unusual/unexplained online and mobile banking activity and responding appropriately. Candidate must perform all tasks with a high degree of accuracy and according to mandated timelines. Candidate will also support bank retail, lending and cash management departments and bank clients.  

Essential Functions

· Monitor systems for unusual/unexplained online and mobile banking activity

· Accurately prepare/process all wires (domestic / international / incoming / outgoing) within Lead Bank appointed timeframe

· Accurately process ACH requests within Lead Bank appointed timeframe

· Complete additional duties including (but are not limited to) processing chargebacks, exception items, foreign items, adjustments.

· Assist with audits

· Process research requests from branches and clients

· Process transactions related to armored car deposits and orders

· Review stop payment requests/Written Statement of Unauthorized Debits (WSUD)

· Process RDC, Mobile RDC, X9 and ATM deposits and place holds when necessary

· Provide excellent client support to both internal and external clients

· Cross train and provide back-up for all data processing functions

· Assist with daily/monthly reports

· Performs other duties as assigned

Travel

· Training in Lee’s Summit, MO, monthly collaboration days in Lee’s Summit, MO; periodic travel to other Lead Bank branches & client locations; and some overnight travel to conferences

Education and Experience Requirements  

· High School Diploma

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite (Excel; Word; Outlook; Adobe)

Preferred Education and Experience  

· Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or 1-3 years of payment processing

· Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and / or National Check Professional (NCP)
