The Olathe Fire Department has a robust public education program reaching thousands of students, residents, and visitors each year. The Public Education Technician has a key role in promoting this program.

As a Public Education Technician, you will support the planning, development, presentation, and evaluation of the public education programs. The position aids the Public Education Specialist in the general administration of programs and operations in the public education for the Fire Department. Work involves general support for the operational, administrative and management of the program and the position reports to the Public Education Specialist. The Technician also serves as the assistant to the Public Education Specialist on special projects that support the public education program.
This is a year round part-time position eligible for paid time off.

Two or more years of increasingly responsible work in education, public safety, communications, public relations or related programs.
