As a Sr. User Researcher at C2FO, you will work closely with Design, Product, Engineering and other key stakeholders to drive user-centered insights throughout the company and help inform product direction.

You will use your research expertise and deep curiosity to determine which methodologies will provide the most relevant information for the task at hand. Furthermore, you will perform the necessary research activities and synthesize the results to clearly articulate the needs, pain points, and key circumstances surrounding our target customer base.


  • Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering to orchestrate and execute primary and secondary research activities including customer interviews, ethnographic research, surveys, usability studies, focus groups, etc.

  • Build research plans in alignment with the product roadmap and major business initiatives

  • Integrate findings from research activities to identify key insights and transform them into compelling stories

  • Evangelize the value of user research and design to the broader business

  • Provide feedback at every stage of the design process to ensure product direction remains consistent with the expressed needs and pain points of our target users

  • Provide recommendations and oversight to team members on how to approach a given research task to generate the most reliable insights (sometimes you’ll do the research yourself, other times you’ll empower other team members in Product and Design to run studies effectively)

  • Contribute to and maintain a central repository of user research data, including building appropriate taxonomies to ensure user insights are easily accessible across the business

  • Partner with members of our Community team to help facilitate a broad understanding of who our users are and what they care about

  • Partner with Data Science and Analytics experts in the company to add a sense of scale to user insights and identify new avenues for inquiry


  • 5+ years of experience planning and delivering human-centered research insights in the context of digital product design

  • Demonstrable success in having your insights positively impact product outcomes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • A strong understanding of a broad array of qualitative and quantitative research methods and the relevant expertise to determine which are most appropriate for meeting a given business need

  • Experience and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced work environment

  • A passion for helping business owners of all types be more effective in their work

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Experimental Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or a related field

  • Experience in b2b financial services
