Stormwater Maintenance Worker

Job Description
The City of Olathe is seeking a seasonal Stormwater Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled and semi-skilled labor in order to help in the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of the city’s stormwater infrastructure and facilities. M-F $13.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:
•Perform general labor helping in the construction, demolition and re-construction of stormwater infrastructure.
•Operate a variety of equipment including trucks, hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and various other tools and equipment.
•Provide maintenance of green stormwater infrastructure, including weeding and trash removal, planting and erosion control.
•Remove debris from stream-corridors, lakes and ponds.
•Perform other duties as required.

Experience & Education:
Experience: Prior construction and/or infrastructure maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Education: High school diploma, or GED.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record, a “Class A” or “B” commercial drivers license preferred, but not required.

Supplemental Information:

Must successfully pass a supplemental background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
