The Missouri Institute for Defense & Energy (MIDE) seeks to hire a multidisciplinary and versatile Engineer I position to support research and development activities in pulsed power, directed energy, unmanned aerial systems, and computer science.  Experience in solid-state switching technologies, pulse forming networks, pulsed power electronics, computational electromagnetics, high-voltage and RF circuit design/layout architecture, fabrication and testing of UAS electrical installations, testing of radar and acoustic technologies, and/or antenna design is a plus.  This position requires a strong foundation in engineering design, manufacturing, and testing.

Below are the list of duties & responsibilities

• Work with research and development teams to design, integrate, and develop technologies and systems
• Document progress and status including, but not limited to, technical reports and briefings as required
• Interface with multiple engineering and non-engineering cross-functional team members
• Maintain safety, security, and compliance requirements
• Travel to visit team members, customers, and attend conferences is expected
• Assist team members and execute other duties as necessary

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Ability to hold and maintain a US Security Clearance

Full time benefit eligible

Starting at $50,367 annum, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
